The Innovation
The project’s novelty is to apply effective fattening management practices for improving quality carcass traits in Holstein calves in Greece to strengthen national meat production while reducing dependence on beef imports. This approach will initially be performed in two representative dairy cattle farms of the dairy sector in Greece. Such practices could be applied to farms under similar management systems.
